The Panama Canal is considered by some to be the eighth wonder of the world. It has been a primary catalyst for infrastructure development programs at many U.S. East Coast and Gulf of Mexico seaports. The expansion of the Canal also coincides with dramatic growth in Florida’s consumer populations of full‐time residents, seasonal residents, and visitors. HCCMO is working in partnership with U.S. Ambassador to Panama, the Honorable Mari Carmen Aponte and her team at the U.S. Embassy. The Central Florida delegation will learn more about commercial trade opportunities with Panama and Latin America, and the direct impact of the Panama Canal to our Central Florida economy.

  • Exclusive Welcoming Reception hosted by U.S. Ambassador to Panama, Hon. Mari Carmen Aponte
  • VIP networking event with Panama Business Leaders organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce
  • Visit Panama Canal
  • Visit to Casco Viejo, Panama, a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Orlando exports to Colombia over $150 million dollars in products and services and this country ranks #5 as Orlando’s export market. Medellín is a city that impresses with its climate, its landscapes, its people and its history; a city that has reinvented itself and, in recent years, has undergone a process of transformation that has led it to become world leader and model for innovation.

  • VIP Welcome reception at Traditional Colombian restaurant
  • Meetings and networking events with top business leaders and government officials from Medellín
  • Business educational events hosted by the Pontifical Bolivarian University (UPB), one of the most prestigious universities in Latin America
  • Tours to learn about Medellín’s urban planning, transformation, innovation, sustainability and transportation
  • Visit Comuna 13 – Once labeled the most dangerous community in Medellín during the 80s and 90s, that transformed into one of the most vibrant, positive and artistic low-income neighborhoods visited by millions of tourists including world leaders and celebrities
