MICHIGAN ABOLITIONIST PROJECT

_ It_s Time to Take Action _1_.png

Welcome! MAP is a network of concerned citizens and like-minded organizations who are working together to prevent and end human trafficking. We are a diverse group of everyday people who join together to make an impact in communities across Michigan. Check out the links below to find ways you can take action and be involved.

First Things First! Get Educated!

Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

Human Trafficking is a complex issue, so to address it effectively we all need to educate ourselves about trafficking and its root causes. Check out some ways to learn more below!

A Cup of Hope - Webinar Series

“A Cup of Hope” is a live stream event, usually the first Wednesday of the month. MAP and Hope Against Trafficking join together to provide a virtual space for community members and families to openly learn and discuss various human trafficking related issues. Through this ongoing dialogue, we aim to bring awareness and hope to an issue that seeks to manipulate and exploit. You can view past recordings or join in for the next session.

Distribute Resources

You have influence. You know people! MAP has resources that will help you spread awareness about trafficking to your circle of influence, help parents and youth prevent trafficking, and provide people a tool to aid in identifying victims.

The LABEL Project

The label has tear off tabs with the Human Trafficking Hotline number. The Michigan Department of Transportation has begun placing our labels in rest areas across our state. Volunteers also place labels in schools, businesses and other community locations (by permission)
