| How to Use Your PSRFCU Debit Card on Vacation:
With the addition of checking accounts and debit cards, we're no longer just a primary place for saving, you can use your funds while you're on the road traveling. We wanted to remind our members that your card and fraud services are active and able to use in all 50 US States and sometimes internationally depending on the country. You may call our fraud services 24/7 at 888-918-7313 on the weekends or when our office is closed and they can help, but we recommend contacting us prior to a trip if you plan to use your PSRFCU Debit Card.
In order to use your card out of state or country, we require a travel notice signed by you with dates notice to our card's fraud service that your card is to be expected in an area and lift the restriction there.
We need this form and information because your cards are protected by several layers like buying habits, proximity to your home billing ZIP code, watching out for sketchy sites, or any out-of-the-blue purchases. If you did not submit a travel notice and you were to randomly try your card tomorrow morning, while on vacation a few states away, your card would likely be blocked by our fraud team and you would be contacted by them directly. They are available 24/7, and depending on your preference, they will call, text, or email you to verify that the purchase is legitimate. Once you have confirmed with them that it is correct, they will authorize the purchase and remove the block. Call our office or submit a contact submission with your destination(s), name, and dates traveling, and we will submit your travel notice before your trip!
