Brianna Spadafora

Schizophrenia Advisory Committee Member

Brianna Spadafora is a medical student at Touro University and an aspiring psychiatrist. Previously working as a social worker for a mental health service, she established familiarity with NAMI through connecting individuals with support groups in their areas. When arriving to medical school, she decided to test her curiosity on the organization by joining the NAMI On Campus Club and applying for the New York State Next Gen Program.

NAMI has provided her the opportunity to practice advocacy concretely for the first time and inform future career decisions. Brianna has thoroughly enjoyed her connection with NAMI and is excited to deepen it as a member of the Schizophrenia Advisory Board.
