What will I be doing?
We have opportunities for the Board of Directors, President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Community Development, Volunteer Coordinator. Perhaps it's an ambassador or simply an event volunteer.
How much time will I be committing?
Members of the Board of Directors commit to 1 meeting a month, either in person or on Teams. They are responsible for the roles of that office, according to current & standard best practices for 501(c)3 nonprofits based on IRS, State Statue, Roberts Rules of Order and professionalism. The current schedule is the 2nd Thursday of the Month, 4:30 - 6 pm. This is adjusted as needed to meet the needs of all members of the group on an annual review basis.
Ambassadors commit to a specific trip or event and may serve as the Chair.
Event Volunteer
These positions are set up as needed with a 2, 4, or all day commitment depending on the event.
Length of term. Event Volunteers & Ambassadors are based on you and when you want to commit.
Board of Directors are 2 to 5 years.
We suggest you start in one of the Ambassador Positions and then if interested cycle into a Board of Directors Position.
Who can Volunteer?
Anyone with an interest in making a difference in the veteran community.
Current, retired or discharged military are encouraged.
Individuals with an interest in leadership, business, or the fishing industry.
