Using vintage and deadstock materials, Liz Shaw creates handbags, clutches and totes that are functional art and forms of self-expression.

She also creates one of a kind collages with remnant and vintage materials.

Liz graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City with an Associate in Fine Arts and The School of Visual Arts in NYC with a Bachelor in Fine Arts. A self-taught sewer, she was inspired by her European mother who made everything from bedspreads to dresses.



Besides being handmade, what makes Liz Shaw Design bags so distinctive is the finishing touches. “I love vintage fabric from the 60's and 70's and using vintage buttons and ribbon as accents”.

Liz currently designs and creates in her studio in Catskill, NY.
