In the heart of Athens and at the center of campus, the newly renovated University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel offers more than a convenient and scenic location. PARKING INFORMATION: The University of Georgia's South Campus Parking Deck is located next to the Georgia Center. There is a second university owned parking deck available two blocks away. Parking fees and charges may apply.

MORE CE HOURS, SAME LOW PRICE! The GOA is excited to bring Georgia and Greater Southeast Optometrists another instrumental CE experience this Fall. Offering twenty and a half (20.5) credit hours, headling our CE will be Dr. Jessica Steen, Dr. Annette Webb, Dr. Tim Earley, Dr. Harold Katner, along with several of our GOA Partners inclusive of Dr. Paul Ajamian, Dr. Paul Walia and Dr. Matthew Hollar.

Our CE hours will offer eighteen (18) COPE Accredited Hours and one (1) hour of Non-COPE Georgia Laws and Rules and nintey minutes (1.5) Non-COPE hours of one of the most informative billing and coding workshops you won't want to miss, Essential Medical Eye Care and Coordination of Benefits. Our NON-COPE hours will be approved by the Georgia State Board of Optometry for credit towards relicensure.


Not to be missed our Fall Conference also offers the opportunity to meet with over 45 different vendors and if you are in need of a new professional photo, our contracted professional photographer will be onsite to do just that. A free benefit for GOA Members!

EDUCATION & POLICIES


There will be a total of 20.5 hours of CE offered at the GOA Fall Education Conference comprised of the following: 18 hours of COPE Accredited CE and 1.5 NON COPE hours for Essential Medical Eye Care and COB Workshop and 1 hour of NON COPE Georgia Laws and Rules.


  • Vailid name badges will serve admission to the lecture hall and must be worn by attendees at all times.  
  • Entrance and exit of the lecture hall will be monitored to meet Georgia State Board Regulations and COPE Guidelines.
  • Attendees may only be absent from any class for a maximum of 10 minutes/lecture hour. If absent more than the allotted time, attendee will be allowed to return to the lecture hall, but will not receive credit for that class.
  • We strongly encourage attendees to download the OE Tracker Mobile App. Scanning the QR Codes at the conclusion of each course will allow for immediate credit reporting. Additionally, the ARBO OE Tracker Scanning System and CE Cards will be available.
  • SC License Holders & FL License Holders - must scan or use OE Tracker Mobile App so hours can be verified and reported to CE Broker.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  (1) A cancellation received by 5:00 p.m. ET on or before September 25, 2024, will be refunded, minus a $35 processing fee. No refunds will be issued thereafter. (2) To change or cancel your registration, call (706) 542-7493, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. (3) If an event is cancelled for any reason, the UGA Center for Continuing Education & Hotel will not be responsible for any charges related to travel.
