Spring 2026

PROJECT PUSH WEEK

Weeks 4 and 12 of each semester will be focused on supporting students in advancing their core projects.

During Project Push Week, Lifelong Learning will offer an array of resources to bring insight and tools for advancing projects. In addition, Lab and instructional faculty will be encouraged to make connections between course content for the week and how that content might inform students’ projects.

Our goals are to:

  • Help students make connections between what they are learning in their instructional courses and their projects.
  • Increase resources available to assist students in developing or refining their projects.
  • Create a shared focus for the entire CU Community across cohorts, time zones, and the curriculum.

Week 12 Theme: Curriculum to Career Connections

In-Class Engagement Questions:

  1. Caitlyn and Nicole both speak about the prevalence of burnout and tactics to avoid it. What can you do to keep your work sustainable?
  2. Dana mentions how she's had a number of jobs throughout her life, but that there is a throughline for all of the work she's done. What throughline do you see in your jobs? Are they any of the Big 10s?
  3. What is something that fills your soul (it doesn't have to be work)
  4. How do you take care of yourself? (what is something you can do 10 minutes per day for me time?)

Results from the Student Survey

We asked CU students to categorize their project theme. Across all responses to the 2025 Student Survey, we've been able to categorize themes into twelve main groups.

These themes tell us what we already know- that CU student projects are people-centered, trauma-informed, and community-driven.

See the theme categories here.

Reflective Questions for Faculty

How are these themes represented in your course or cohort? What connections can you make to course outcomes and weekly content? Think of the work that you do in your community, how does it connect to these themes and to the course you teach at CU?

Exhibition Scaffolding: Reflection Prompts & Tips for Students

Lab Faculty and cohorts can use these resources to facilitate and support journaling, advising conversations, exhibitions, and self-assessment.

These prompts can help students think deeply about their projects and goals.
