| One of my favorite bands, ABBA, in one of their most beloved songs, “Thank You for the Music,” says this:
So I say thank you for the music The songs I’m singing Thanks for all the joy they’re bringing Who can live without it? I ask in all honesty what would life be? Without a song or a dance, what are we?
Music really does make being alive so special and sacred. Whether it’s beautiful jazz music as we relax at the end of the day, upbeat rhythms to get us through our workout, or joining our voices together to sing our praises on Sunday morning; music is the soundtrack of our lives. It gives us hope, joy, and peace and helps us grieve our losses and make sense of our pain.
This Sunday we celebrate music in our worship service (as if we don’t already do that every Sunday) and give thanks to our amazing Music Director David Dunlap, our accompanist Cheryl Barth, and our amazing chancel choir!
We hope you can join us, whether, online or in person! It’s going to be a great Sunday of music and joy!

How The Bible Actually Works Monday Night Zoom Class Mondays, October 5 - November 9, 7:00 p.m. The Bible is a big, complex, often-times difficult book to make sense of…and it is one of the foundations of our faith as Christians. Join us as we read “How The Bible Actually Works” by Peter Enns and encounter the Bible in new, exciting, and faith-forming ways. For over 50 years, LGBTQ scholars have taken back the meaning of the Bible that has so often been used against us. Join us for this four session course where we discuss reading the Bible in liberating, life-giving ways for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. Led by Rev. Dr. Bob Shore-Goss, who is the co-author of The Queer Bible Commentary, this class is sure to heal us, make us whole, and inspire our work for justice! |

No Kings Rally Saturday, October 17, 10:00 a.m. Corner of Federal and Oakland Park Blvd. (meet at church at 9:45)

- AT&T West Side Parking Lot & the Parking spaces along NE 30th Place (Do not block the stairs)
- CASA MONARCA Parking Lot (Only until noon)
- OVERFLOW PARKING: Parking Lot next to our East Church Parking lot (Entrance off of NE 30th Place)
- We do not recommend parking in the shopping center across from the Church (Park at your own risk)
- There is also FREE parking in front of the businesses along East Oakland Park Blvd (street side only)
- PLEASE do not park on the grassy areas
