Please note that all property referrals must be able to pass Housing Quality Standards Inspection in order to be eligible for CLIHTF's Rental Subsidy Program. Please visit CLIHTF's website to access the Housing Quality Standards Pre Inspection Checklist before making a landlord referral.

6. CLIHTF's 2022-2023 income eligibility limits for tenants. Tenants must be at or below 30% of the Area Median Income for the City of Chicago to qualify for a CLIHTF Unit.

7. CLIHTF's Self Certification Policy for tenants that gain income through the parallel economy. This form of income verification should be applies to tenants who are unable to provide third party verification of income.

8. CLIHTF's Technology Requirements for landlords. Please note that CLIHTF is operating remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All landlord participants must have internet and computer access.

9. CLIHTF's Landlord Intake Process Flowchart. Please note that CLIHTF's landlord intake process typically takes 45-60 days. All properties must be approved by CLIHTF's Board of Directors in order to participate in the Rental Subsidy Program.

15. A Sample Tenant relocation letter. Please note that CLIHTF Rental Subsidy Program subsidies are paid directly to eligible property owners. If the property is decommitted from CLIHTF's Rental Subsidy program, the tenant may move with the subsidy to another eligible property, and ask a new landlord to enroll in CLIHTF's Rental Subsidy Program.
