The Israelites had 42 encampments in the wilderness before entering into the Promised Land (see Numbers 33).
There are 42 generations from Abraham "the wanderer" to Jesus "the one who invites us to enter into His rest" (see Matthew 1 and Hebrews 1-4).
This 42 Day Fast is an invitation to enter into the Lord's Rest, while also entering into Spiritual Warfare.
How can we enter into rest if we are entering into spiritual warfare?
The rest is an expression of our faith, not our circumstances. Trusting God and having faith was needed in order to possess the promised land.
Joshua had no idea how taking possession of the promised land was going to happen. The Lord gave a big picture vision and then told Joshua to be strong and courageous. Think of the scripture, "The Lord is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path". God can give us vision, purpose, and understanding of what He is taking us to: the light of the path, but literally your feet are dark in front of you; all you can see is the very next step: lamp unto my feet.
What kept Israel from entering into the Lord's rest (Hebrews 1-4)?
Disobedience. It was a lack of faith which led to a lack of rest.
Why does this fast end on April 8th?
The fast culminates on the 10th day of Nissan on the Hebrew calendar (April 8, 2025) because it is the very day the Israelites crossed over the Jordan River and entered into the Promised Land many many years ago.
Consider it a physical act linked to a spiritual reality.
Why Are We Fasting?
We are fasting in faith to see the displacing of demonic strongholds and the establishment of God's Kingdom throughout The Land. We believe the Lord is inviting us into victory as we walk out this obedience to His voice, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus.

Why Join This Fast?
Perhaps God is speaking to you about fasting and this is an opportunity to take the next step.
Perhaps God has been speaking to you about the times and seasons, and you find this invitation for fasting comes into alignment with what He has been revealing to you.
Some things we do on our own, some things can only be done together. Perhaps this fast is a window of opportunity to war together for spiritual breakthrough.
Do you consider yourself to be a disciple of Jesus? Jesus said to his disciples, "when you fast...", not if you fast (Matthew 6:16-18).
Fasting and prayer can lead to repentance, bring revelation, shift principalities and powers, and break demonic strongholds in people's lives (2 Chronicles 20, Daniel 10, Isaiah 58:6, Jonah 3:5, Matthew 17:21).
Some Ways You Can Enter into the 42 Day Fast:
Water only
All kinds of liquids, no solids
Fast from all flavored liquids; only drink water and solids
Fast from sweets, treats, and meats
Fast from meat & dairy; Only eat food from seed
Fast from sun up to sundown
Fast one meal a day or two meals a day
Fast one day a week for 6 weeks or two days a week; etc.
