The University of Kentucky Center of Excellence in Rural Health is accepting proposals for the 2026-27 Healthy WAY program.

 

Healthy WAY (Wellness in All Youth) is a leadership development and research training program for rural Kentucky high school students.

Student-led teams will have the opportunity to work on projects that address issues affecting youth health and well-being at the school and community levels.

 

Project funding, hands-on research experience, technical support, and research mentoring are available to student teams selected for this competitive program. Up to four schools will be selected for 2026-27.

 

Key Dates 

Proposals Due:               September 25, 2026

Applicants Notified:         October 15, 2026

Project Window:              November 1, 2026 – March 1, 2027
