R.U.F.F. Scholarship-April 1, 2024

The Retirees Unite for the Future (R.U.F.F.) organization is sponsoring a $500 scholarship for graduating seniors. The organization​ seeks to educate, advocate, energize, organize, and mobilize on behalf of its members and others in the community. Applicants must complete the application below and provide all supporting documentation to include a 500-word essay and 3 letters of recommendation. The application deadline is April 1, 2024. Home Builders Association of Greater Savannah Scholarship-Deadline April 12, 2024

The Home Builders Association of Greater Savannah Founders Scholarship will award multiple scholarships to students who are pursuing a degree directly related to the building industry. A few examples of qualifying fields of study are architecture, building construction, building design, construction management, engineering, welding, plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems technology. Requirements: 2.5 GPA, completed application, transcript, recommendation letter. Application deadline is April 12, 2024. Additional information may be found HERE. Please read the requirements thoroughly and make sure all required documents accompany the application when submitted. Please note that applications will not be accepted if they are not 100% complete.


Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Scholarship-Deadline April 19, 2024

Applicants must be high school seniors who live in Chatham and Effingham counties, have a 90 or higher GPA, submit SAT/ACT scores, proof of admission to an accredited college/university, a transcript, and recommendation letter. CLICK HERE for the application.


On April 9th at 5:30, Ms. Nancy Baker, head of Savannah Scholars will be presenting the parent component of "Dream Big, Dream GREAT". Ms. Baker spoke to all Grade 8 students on March 12 and presented her new organization, Savannah Scholars to them. All Grade 8 parents are encouraged to attend and learn more about this tremendous opportunity for Grade 8 students to apply for college mentoring at not cost to the family. Applications can be found at www.savannahscholars.org.

SSUNAA Class of 1976 Scholarship (Deadline: May 1, 2024)

The SSUNAA-Class of 1976 announces its 2024-2025 scholarship award. Awards of $1,000-$1,500 will be awarded based on eligibility. Applicants must be a freshman admitted to SSU for Fall 2024 with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The application deadline is May 1, 2024. Please CLICK HERE for additional information.


Bud McCall Grant 

The Bud McCall Grant is awarded to students with disabilities who are seeking post-secondary and other Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services. Undergraduate students and students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan may be candidates for the grant and GVRA services. The total annual grant is $17,725 for up to 5 years. Please note that, in order to qualify for the grant, a student must have an IEP and be on the GVRA caseload. The St. Joseph’s/Candler Volunteers have scholarships available to students pursuing degrees in health related fields. The award is to help defray tuition expenses.  


Applicant must already be accepted into a health related field at a Georgia institution. This does not include pre-med or pre-nursing. Also, programs such as biology or chemistry as standalone majors or online programs do not qualify, nor does Veterinary Medicine. Personal history, financial need, and 2.5 average are also considered.  


Completed applications are due by May 15th and will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee.
