UAFS is home to two TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Programs, TRIO Classic and TRIO STEM. These federally funded programs provide academic and personal support services to a combined 260 eligible students. Program participants receive additional support and assistance in a variety of areas, including:
- Academic advising support
- One-on-one coaching in academics and other areas
- Educational and professional development workshops
- Supplemental tutoring and test prep for program-required exams
- Cultural enrichment activities
- Peer mentoring opportunities
- Grant aid
