Schedule: 8.5 hour shift (Monday through Friday)

Annual Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 (based upon experience level)


Miller Industrial Manufacturing in Ft. Edward and Glens Falls, NY is a well-respected industrial manufacturing facility that has been in business for decades. We provide various levels of fabrication, machining, waterjet capabilities as well as field service for the pulp and paper industry under the scope of Miller Mechanical Services, Inc. We focus on large machining capabilities, steel fabrication and formation of ASME code vessels for the pulp and paper industry as well as other industries.

We are currently hiring a qualified Project Manager that is motivated and wants to grow with our company! Relocation assistance will be provided based on your location.

Responsibilities

· Anticipating/understanding the full scope of work and comparing contract documents to estimate to identify revisions or value engineering that may not be immediately evident.

· Project scheduling working backward from general contractor required on job dates and understanding when expectations are unreasonable or do not follow required work procedures.

· Engaging detailing with priorities and delivery requirements in mind, in-house or subcontracted as availability allows, and ensure detailers shop drawings meet project specifications, estimate, and requirements for build-ability & erect-ability.

· Coordinating fabrication and machining and delivery schedules.

· Ensuring actual costs remain within budget throughout the life of the project.

· Accurately computing additional costs resulting from project changes and promptly issuing a change order request to the general contractor and tracking the status of each request.

· Remaining informed of project progress and status of issues.

· Issuing required close-out documents.

· AutoCAD or Solidworks experience is preferred. The right candidate will be trained to use machine specific software for programming, additionally will be trained set-up and operation of the system.

· Detail oriented and communication skills are a must.

· Ability to read and understand simple to complex mechanical drawings/blueprints is a plus.

· Review drawings for material take-off and send estimate sheets to vendors

· Calculate cost of projects and write proposals.

. ERP experience is preferred.

· Interact appropriately/professionally with customers and peers


Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in the area of fabrication and/or machining.
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in CAD, Solidworks, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Possess and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures to the completion of difficult assignments.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task.
  • Strong organizational & communication skills.

Job Type

Qualifications

  • Machining and/or Fabrication Experience: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Project Management: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Driver's License (Preferred)
