Three Arts Organizations Collaborate to Tell the True Story of America's Longest-Held Prisoner of War

Who: The Chamber Orchestra of the Springs, Art Song Colorado, and Opera Theatre of the Rockies co-producing, with support from the US Air Force Academy and the National Endowment for the Arts.


What: The Colorado premiere of Glory Denied, an opera which tells the true story of America's longest-held POW - Col. Jim Thompson - as memorialized in a book of the same name by author Tom Philpott. This performance is free to the public, and we are expecting over 1,000 in attendance, alongside several hundred USAFA cadets, who are studying the book as part of their cadet curriculum.
