Celebrating Diwali! On November 15, the South Asian Medical Student Association (SAMSA) at Einstein commemorated Diwali, bringing vibrant traditions to campus. Students enjoyed an evening filled with cultural festivities, dancing, and delicious cuisine while sharing in the joy of the Festival of Lights. Getting Their Brew On! On November 26, Einstein medical and Ph.D. students, postdocs, and other coffee enthusiasts gathered with Dean Tomer to celebrate the launch of Einstein’s new Starbucks Espresso Machine, enjoying complimentary espresso and biscotti. The machine operates 24/7 and is located in the Main Street Café (Forchheimer). Einstein Learning Communities Celebration! House B medical students and faculty celebrate the end of the year.

Musicians of Einstein brought the healing power of music to the pediatric oncology unit at Jacobi Hospital on December 13, performing works by Debussy, Khachaturian, and more, and showcasing the diverse talents of Einstein medical students. They later performed on campus during Einstein’s biannual Classical Music Night. Drag Brunch: On December 8, the Office of Student Life (OSL) and Einstein Pride hosted a Drag Brunch that raised $1,000 to support Destination for Tomorrow, an LGBTQ+ center based in the Bronx. Friendsgiving Diaspora Potluck: More than eight student organizations joined the Office of Student Life for a festive potluck on November 18. With chicken wings, pasta, stirfry, sushi, and samosas, it was a true celebration of cultures and cuisines to kick off the holiday season.
