I have found that those who have a creative spirit also have a great deal of passion. We take what drives us and we put all of our time, energy and dedication into those projects. Through my years in many different facets of design, I have learned that I am happiest when I am working on a project that gives back in some way. I have been fortunate to be a part of many design projects that provided a benefit to others. From my time working with Habitat for Humanity in San Diego, to my projects with the Ronald McDonald House, and Rady Children’s Hospital, all brought a wonderful sense of purpose that I was making a positive impact for someone else.
Our upcoming fundraiser, Crossing Palettes is my current passion project. As our volunteers, designers, and chefs work together to create an evening of fun, design and food, we don’t want to forget the individuals that all of our hard work benefits. The Phoenix Dream Center is more than just a care center for victims of human trafficking.
This organization serves over 40,000 people each month from at-risk youth, homeless and the needy within our community. Services that they offer include a residential rehabilitation program, shelter and care for victims of human trafficking, affordable housing for men and women in transition, and distribution of food and clothing throughout various Phoenix neighborhoods where the predominately poor reside.
As we continue working on making Crossing Palettes a fun filled evening, I hope everyone will come together to support our Charity for this term. Join us on September 15th as we raise money to aid the Phoenix Dream Center in expanding their ability to help more in need.
