The Arc of Nevada’s Excellence in Nursing Awards Gala is an annual night of gratitude, recognizing those who provide tireless care for our community’s most vulnerable during their most challenging times.

Do you know a nurse who goes above and beyond? Now is the time to ensure they receive the recognition they deserve. We are accepting nominations across over 20 professional categories, plus four fun categories to highlight the unique personalities in our nursing community. Category List

We will also crown the prestigious Distinguished Nurse of the Year, awarded to an individual whose commitment and impact have set a new standard for the profession.

Important Deadlines & Process

Nomination Deadline: All nominations must be submitted by Sunday, September 13th at 11:59 PM.
Next Steps: Once nominated, candidates will be contacted to complete a comprehensive candidate packet.
Judging: These packets will be carefully reviewed and judged by a panel of their peers to ensure excellence is recognized by those who understand the profession best.
The Big Reveal: Winners will be officially announced live during the gala on November 14th.

Meet Our Emcee - Carla Rea

Carla Rea is the host of The KKLZ Morning Show on 96.3 KKLZ. She has been entertaining for decades, on comedy, stages, late night, TV, and radio.

Carla has been the KKLZ morning show for 15 years. She is a member of the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame, and a Gracie Award winner. She worked as a light-feature reporter for KSNV, the NBC affiliate in Las Vegas, as a part of “Wake up with the Wagner’s”, going behind the scenes of Las Vegas shows, restaurants, and more.

Carla is a seasoned comedian who has appeared on Conan O'Brien, Craig Ferguson, a Showtime special, and in comedy clubs across the country, and across the globe.

She brings her signature wit, humor and sarcasm to 96.3 KKLZ every Monday-Friday, 6am to 10am.
