FAQ Who does this event benefit? This Gala is to raise funds for Alternatives.Yes, parent ministry of Alternatives Laurel Highland Pregnancy Center located in Dunbar, PA. Alternatives.Yes has been assisting mothers and families for more than 30 years. We provide ultrasounds, emotional support, physical resources, educational classes and referrals to women from pregnancy through the baby's first birthday. Alternatives.Yes is a life affirming center that aims to equip and empower mothers to make the best choices for themselves and their babies. All services are offered 100% free of charge.
Who should attend? Anyone with a heart for pro-life ministry who would like to learn more about our center and would be willing to prayerfully consider supporting us financially--if God so leads you. Because the purpose of this night is to raise funds for the center and because seating is limited, we ask that children do not attend.
What should I wear? This may be a gala but ball gowns and tuxedos are not required. Anything from Sunday Best to Cocktail Attire or Semi-Formal would be appropriate.
What should I bring? Bring your appetite, your spouse (if you have one) and an expectant heart. You may also want to bring a checkbook/credit card should you choose to make a donation.
What is the menu? There will be a buffet with Beef Brisket, Chicken Picada, Mushroom Raviolis, Roasted Potatoes and Green Beans.
Who is this year's speaker? We are excited to announce that Wendy Burpee will be our key-note speaker this year! Wendy is a pro-life speaker from Eastern Pennsylvania with a power full message of hope and redemption.
Abortion, domestic abuse, shame and hopelessness could have been the end of Wendy Burpee’s story, but God had a different plan for her life. He rescued her and gave her a passion for the unborn.
