Pre-Legislative-Session Forum

January 11, 2025

Join us at the CNM Workforce Training Center in Albuquerque for The Disability Coalition’s annual pre-legislative-session forum. The event will include a morning plenary and breakout sessions in the afternoon. The forum is a great opportunity to learn about issues that will be coming up in the 2025 session of the New Mexico Legislature and to network with other members of the disability community.

We are asking that you consider sponsoring this important event.  DRAD is a great way to network with other agencies, corporations and consumers while gaining a better understanding of the issues facing New Mexicans with disabilities. DRAD sponsors will have an exhibit-table at the CNM Workforce Training Center for the January 11 pre-legislative-session forum.

Self-Advocate Stipend Request Form

Self-Advocate persons with a disability are invited to apply for a stipend to help pay for some or all costs to attend the Disabilities Rights Awareness Days events. Special funding is also available for persons with Down Syndrome. The stipend criteria is included with the download form below:

Voting Rights Webinar 2024 video

The Disability Coalition’s Disability Rights Awareness Days events began with a webinar on October 1 about voting in New Mexico, with Annie Elliott, voting advocate at Disability Rights New Mexico, as our presenter. It covered:


      registering to vote

      voting by absentee ballot

      voting in person, either early or on Election Day

      being an informed voter

      your rights as a voter with a disability
