| Join us for an unforgettable eight-night, small-group retreat with Peggy Orr and International Yoga Founder Michelle Fliegauf. Spanning two of Africa’s most extraordinary landscapes—from the wildlife-rich waterways of the Okavango Delta to the vast, meditative stillness of the Kalahari Desert—this all-inclusive adventure blends intimate wildlife encounters and cultural immersion with yoga, wellness, and meaningful connection.
The adventure opens with four nights at Vintage Camp in Khwai, where luxury bell tents offer an elegant base for exploring the waterways and wildlife surrounding the Moremi Reserve. By day, we’ll search for elephants, lions, giraffes, and other remarkable species on guided game drives, travel by boat through the channels of the Okavango, and drift through the reeds in a traditional mokoro.
A scenic helicopter flight then reveals Botswana from above as we travel from the lush Delta to a secluded lodge in Kalahari. During our four-night stay, we find a gentler pace and the focus turns toward well-being. Yoga, meditation, nourishing meals, restorative treatments, movement, and time outdoors create a balanced retreat experience, with plenty of freedom to relax and simply take in the quiet beauty of the desert.
Our time in the Kalahari also offers a meaningful opportunity to learn from the San, Indigenous Peoples of southern Africa, whose knowledge, stories, and traditions reflect a relationship with this land cultivated over thousands of years. Our evenings may include sharing fireside stories, watching the horizon glow at sunset, or sleeping beneath a brilliant canopy of stars.
More than a safari, this retreat is an invitation to step away from everyday distractions and rediscover the wonder of life’s simplest moments—from seeing wildlife roam freely to witnessing the Milky Way in an unpolluted night sky. The journey also creates a positive legacy through direct support for community programs and conservation initiatives, including school transportation, playground development, local employment, community assistance, and the reintroduction of giraffes to the Kalahari. |
