Sandra Biersdorfer is an award-winning children's book author and an East Texas Native. Sandra has always enjoyed reading and writing, and is a huge advocate of reading to children as early as possible.

A former substitute teacher, Sandra attributes her love of children's books to all those she has read to throughout the years, and has helped develop her expertise for pinpointing what children like and want to hear in a story. Her hobbies include reading, writing, tv, movies, and all kinds of puzzles.

Katherine Briggs NEW FOR 2024!

Katherine Briggs crafted her first monster story at age three. Since graduating from crayons to laptop, she continues to devour and weave fantasy tales while enjoying chai tea.

Katherine, her co-adventurer husband, and rescue dog reside outside Houston, where she classically educates amazing middle school students, teaches ESL to adults, and enjoys studying other languages.

Jocelin Deneweth NEW FOR 2024!

Jocelin R. Deneweth is an English High School teacher who calls South Texas home.

She has spent most of her life writing and has always dreamed of sharing her books with the world.

Deb Evans NEW FOR 2024!

Deb Evans is a creativity-driven multi-preneur with a passion for words and language, as well as a children's book author dedicated to helping children discover a love of reading. She is also a private reading and writing tutor for children struggling with dyslexia and other reading challenges.

Deb is an animal lover, and often features dogs and cats in her stories. She has written and published four books in her Bella’s Tales series of chapter books for growing readers, that come straight from the heart!

Dr. La'Krystal Foster NEW FOR 2024!

Dr. La'Krystal K. Foster has a passion for education. With over 13 years of experience, she’s dedicated to the early childhood sector, where professionals develop and obtain knowledge to become the most effective educators for their students.

Her first book, Lou Prepares for an HBCU, was inspired by Dr. Foster's desire to promote Historical Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU) to young readers, highlight well-known public figures, and educate high school students in preparing for their college transition. In addition to the story, a list of all HBCUs has been included, and a College Readiness checklist to ensure success as students prepare for their higher-level academic journey.

Rose Garcia

Amani Jesu NEW FOR 2024!

Amani Jesu writes about women finding the courage to be who they really are, often drawing on her own adventures in belly dance, photography, travel, and volunteerism.

Her debut novel, Eliana-Who-Sees-Us, is a YA urban fantasy about a young photographer who discovers demons are more real than she ever imagined.

Gabriela Morales was born and raised in Veracruz, Mexico. She studied Psychology and has a Master's degree in Human Resources. She lived in Buenos Aires for two years before moving to Spring Tx, where she currently lives with her husband and son.

Her inspiration came from the desire to share her love for books with her son and, be able to read to him creative stories in English and Spanish. Pipe the Excavator is the first book of many others to come.

Sharlene Novak NEW FOR 2024!

Sharlene Novak is a transplanted New Yorker currently living in Texas.

Lucy Learns to Share is the first book in her Happy Tails Camper Stories series,and was chosen to be sold at the Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival and at the John Cooper School Signatures event last year.  The book has also won two awards.

Sharlene is an avid reader and sometimes writer, hoping to add more stories to the Happy Tails series. 

Kim Ragunathan NEW FOR 2024!

Come meet first time children's book author Kimberly Gail Raghunathan and explore the excitement of an international move through the eyes of a child. 

Kimberly grew up in Northern New Hampshire and has spent most of her life traveling, and studying languages.

Before moving to the Houston area, she lived in Accra, Ghana for four years while raising her two young daughters. Her first book, From Charleston to Accra, is roughly based on her own family's international move.

Kimberly received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and has traveled to and/or lived in France, Egypt, Morocco, and India.

Rodney Robinson Jr. NEW FOR 2024!

Rodney Robinson Jr., author, director, and CEO at The HYPPE Development Center where we uplift the next generation through fitness and mentoring while serving our community.

Rodney started working in youth development programs in 2010, where he served as a volunteer at an after school program. Since then, Rodney continued to grow and encourage growth in his community’s physical, mental, spiritual, and financial health.

Rodney launched The HYPPE Development Center in 2019 as an idea to help youth, and also began writing inspirational books of encouragement for children.

Rebecca Torrellas FAN FAVORITE!

Rebecca Torrellas is the creator and author of the young adult faery book series A Faeries' Tale, which includes eight books, The most recent, Stones Unturned, was released in April 2022 and Book 9, Unleashed Fury, is in the works.

She has also released a romantic comedy, One Time at the River. 

Rebecca earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism at Texas A&M University and is currently a managing editor for an international trade publication in Houston. Previously, she worked at several newspapers throughout the state, before moving to Houston where she worked as an editor, consumer reporter and designer of a newsletter for a non-profit.

She finds inspiration for her stories in her daily experiences with friends, family, and those she's loved, lost, and admired.

Leonie Waithman NEW FOR 2024!

Leonie Waithman, author of the YA/middle-reader The King's Chosen historical fantasy series, was born and raised in The Netherlands as the youngest of three girls. She attributed her passion for storytelling to her early years when her father made up stories at bedtime.

After graduating college, Leonie pursued her passion for traveling and met her British husband in Australia. She worked in England for several years before moving to Texas in 2001.

Leonie lives with her husband, her three children, a German Shepherd never found far from her sight, a cat, and a bunny.

When not writing, she is an avocational archeologist and volunteers her time at a state historic site, educating students about the Texas Revolution.

Lane Fobbs NEW FOR 2024!

A native of Houston, TX, Lane Fobbs is a graduate of Texas A&M University with over a decade of professional media experience. Fobbs’ background is in news, working at KRHD-TV in Bryan, TX, WABG-TV in Greenville, MS and WCTI-TV in New Bern, NC.

He left news in 2015 to pursue independent creative opportunities. In 2017 Fobbs had the idea for the concept that would become the horror series Becky. From there, Fobbs has created a library of subjects and titles covering a wide spectrum of interest.

Michael Moore

Michael Moore is a writer and filmmaker currently living in the great state of Texas who above all else loves three things: martial arts, westerns, and a great cheeseburger. 

Michael wrote the comic books El Gato Negro: Legacy #1 and Team Tejas #1., and recently released his first full length western novel, The Girl with Strawberry Hair, in January 2023. Michael also wrote, directed and edited the short films El Gato Negro: Prey and Cornered

Max Power has been writing fiction for over twenty years but now is focusing his efforts to promoting Mental Health Awareness by sharing his personal struggles with others.

Te'yana Pugh NEW FOR 2024!

Te’yana Pugh has been writing for years, but only recently published her debut novel, The Composure of Butterflies, under her publishing company Canary&Sage.  The story follows a diverse group of college women bound by a shared tapestry of resilience.

The Composure of Butterflies is a poignant tale of transformation in which the wings of camaraderie and the wonder of literature guide these women through the intricate cocoon called life.

Chrissa Sandlin is a poet living in Spring, Texas with her husband and two dogs and the usual backyard complement of feral lizards, birds, and mason bees.

After years of entertaining friends with random short stories, observational articles and a variety of recreational writings, Caelen Walker put those skills to use writing an actual novel. The idea began to develop and unfold and the story seemed to flow with no end, so what started as a simple bucket list item has developed into the Crown Acres series of survivalist action novels based in the San Antonio and West Texas areas.

Michelle Burgan is a scif-fi erotic romance writer, whose works feature main characters who are older strong, independent, take- charge kind of plus-size women. Jeff Folschinsky is a fan of horror, Science fiction, and offbeat humor. He is the author of the Tales from Little Lump book series.

Alexander Marriott NEW FOR 2024!

Alexander Marriott is the Department Chair of History at Alvin Community College. He has published in The Objective Standard and The Journal of the Early Republic, in addition to his contributing chapter on the Mexican War in James K. Polk and His Time: Essays at the Conclusion of the Polk Project (University of Tennesse Press, 2022).

In February 2023, Alexander published his first mystery novel, The School of Homer, about a retired American detective who reluctantly returns to the job when a British tourist is murdered in his new hometown in Greece.

A.V. Pham is a forensic scientist by day and author by night and on weekends.

Marcus Sabom FAN FAVORITE!

Born and raised in Houston, TX, Marcus Sabom always had a love for writing. As an insecure angsty teenager, he wrote bad poetry that will hopefully never see the light of day, because, of course. But as an adult, after stumbling onto the local film scene, his love of writing turned to storytelling, and since then he's written four full length novels, a short story, and even written scripts for short film contests.

Marcus has written a novelization of his movie The Good Friend, the full-length novel Nikki, and the short story Melting Point. Marcus has also contributed two novels to the YA urban fantasy fairy series Wings & Horns, started by his dear friend and long suffering editor, Rebecca Torrellas.  

When he isn't at work or pursuing his other passion of photography, Marcus is working on his next story under the close supervision of his pet cats.  

C.L. Thomas

C.L. Thomas grew up in Southern New England in the 1970's playing outside every chance he could and has been writing stories since he was a sophomore in high school.

Growing up in East Hartford, one of his favorite games to play was cops and robbers. Little did he know as an adult, first in the United States Army, and later for the city of Houston, he would get to play cops and robbers for real.

On several occasions he would come home from work and tell his wife, "I would have done this for free." For eight years, C.L. was a member of a tactical unit in one of the worst parts of the city. Working alongside five highly trained and dedicated officers, C.L. put his life on the line for the citizens of the City of Houston.

C.L. brings his gritty work world reality to the pages of his first full-length novel, The Hollow, painting a picture of the world very few people ever get to see.

Oscar Whiting is an author of heartfelt and haunting fantasy.

Jenna Barrett is an award-winning author who writes fantasy novels and is currently at work on the Keepers of Imbria series following the release of her debut novel, Orabelle. She weaves complex emotional dichotomies and breathes life into strong female heroines and villains that you love to hate.

Kelly Lynn Colby

Kelly Lynn Colby has tried to write mundane stories but magic always sneaks its way in. The result? The YA epic fantasy duology The Recharging (complete) and the paranormal thriller series Emergence (book three coming in 2023).

She’s learned a ton from her short stories as well, which you can find in a plethora of anthologies.

When she’s not traveling the country attending publishing or pop culture conventions, Kelly writes and edits and answers an inordinate number of emails at her cluttered desk in Houston, Texas.

Tiffany Grant NEW FOR 2024!

Canadian born but Texas raised, Tiffany Grant completed a master's degree with a split major in history and English from Texas A&M University Texarkana.

Her debut novel, Sacred Tears: The Dance of Iris is the first installment of the Sacred Tears Series, a fast-paced epic fantasy adventure filled with corruption, mystery, determination, and wit. 

Tiffany is no stranger to living in "different worlds," from her upbringing to her time living in Asia teaching English in Thailand and India. R. S. has spent most of his life in Texas, growing up spending most of his adolescences and early adulthood imagining new fantastic worlds. A proud alumnus of Stephen F. Austin State University, he currently teaches United States history and government at a community college near Houston, Texas.

It took him five years to finish writing The Heir Comes Forth, which was published in 2016 on the same day his first child was born. As a historian, he loves to mingle the historical with fantastical, and places an emphasis on faith in all his writing.

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, internationally published and award-winning author David H. Millar is the founder, owner, and author-in-residence of A Wee Publishing Company, a business formed to promote Celtic authors and literature.

Theodore (Tod) Niretac Tinker (he/him) is a trans author, editor, and publisher. Words and worlds are his passion; quality and consistency, his goal.

Specializing in spiritual spec-fic, he fights for justice and equality through his books, explores the weird and whimsical in his short stories, and helps other writers find the voice and power of their own stories through his small, independent press, Balance of Seven.

Clancy Weeks FAN FAVORITE!!

Clancy Weeks is a composer and music educator by training, with over two-dozen published works for wind ensemble and orchestra, but always was an author at heart.

Having read sci-fi and fantasy for over fifty years, his life took a sharp U-turn when he published his first novel, Sleepers, a Sci-Fi thriller. Two other novels and a handful of short stories quickly followed. 

He has lived his entire life in Texas, and currently resides in the Houston area with his amazing wife, Molly, and son, Leo.

E.A. Williams NEW FOR 2024!

E.A. Williams attended the University of North Texas where she channeled her love of storytelling into film and play writing. She was the only female writer selected for UNT’s 2014 playwriter’s showcase.

While completing her film degree she also helped run a bi-monthly writer’s collective aimed at community engagement in the arts and stretched her creative limits by studying special effects makeup.

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in film, she works as a makeup artist in both film and photography, and is now the author of the line of Tepes supernatural thriller series.

Born and raised in Houston, where she now lives with her dog, Williams is inspired by the diverse and challenging landscape of her home state.

Edward White

Edward White is a man of many interests and experience. He is an Air Force veteran, a retired US Postal Inspector (Federal Agent), a martial artist (black belt), a musician (piano), and a writer.

His novels, all based in and around the Houston area, include Chances Are, Bolivar Ferry, and The Spectre fantasy trilogy.

A University of Missouri, St. Louis graduate, Ed moved to Houston, Texas in 1987. Ed now resides with his wife, Kimberly, in northwest Houston.

Raul Herrera and the Swift Boat crew he served with during the Vietnam War were personally congratulated and awarded the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry Medal by Premier Nguyễn Cao Kỳ and Chief of State Nguyễn Văn Thiệu for the capture of a North Vietnamese resupply trawler on July 15, 1967. The crew's heroic action kept more than 90 tons of ammunition and supplies from the awaiting Viet Cong.

Col. Chris Pike NEW FOR 2024!

Chris Pike grew up in Connecticut. He graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1988 and served as an active duty officer for 24 years, leading Airmen in a variety of missions and programs, primarily transportation and logistics. He retired in 2012 at the rank of colonel after 13 assignments to 9 states and 3 foreign countries, as well as short-term deployments to the Gulf War (1991) and Iraq (2006).

His first book, Leading to Win, starts from the premise that the key to great leadership is knowing how to assign the right people to the right task. Chris shares moments throughout his military career when he learned important lessons that shaped his thinking about leadership, and defines a set of supporting principles that will enable readers to develop this talent. The end result is a model that can guide any leader in any organization down the path to mission accomplishment.

In addition to a BS from the Air Force Academy, Chris holds 4 masters degrees, including the Air Command and Staff College and National War College. He is an avid reader and traveler, with a lifelong passion for history. Leading to Win is the first of what he hopes will be several publications.

Chris and his wife Libby for over 25 years currently reside in The Woodland. They are proud parents of a daughter and a son, both of whom are full-time college students.
