Artists (and aspiring artists!) wishing to practice in a supportive, collegial, non-competitive environment

What We Will Do

After a warm welcome, & quick introductions, you’ll enjoy drawing exercises, background music, and a mid-session stretch – plus you’ll have plenty of time to draw, ask questions and share both challenges and successes.

Tuesday Session Basic Format:

Warm-up gesture drawings (15 mins max)
Measured drawing practice with time limits (30-40 mins)
Still life free draw of subjects (last hour)

Use your favorite mediums, and feel free to come and go as you please during this informative, engaging, relaxed session format. Special guests will also be featured!

Your Host - Craig Stevens

Craig Stevens has been drawing since he could hold a pencil. He studied with Myron Barnstone over several years, starting in 1978, and continued his art studies at Kutztown University, Moravian College and Coastal Carolina University. At Barnstone Studios, Craig discovered his love for Figure Drawing and depicting the human form in all its variations. The figure remains a focus of his work to this day. Craig’s work has a secondary track employing the experiences and skillset he’s acquired over years in Advertising as a Sign Painter, Billboard Artist and Art Director.
