Welcome to Iceland! This one-of-a-kind destination has been topping bucket lists for years, and for good reason. The Nordic island is a nature-lovers paradise bursting with stunning vistas — from ice-covered volcanoes, glittering glaciers, and gushing geysers to black sand beaches, blue lagoons, and, of course, the magical northern lights. Our curated eight-day itinerary is the perfect introduction to this mystical land — a blend of adventurous excursions, rejuvenating yoga, and relaxing at a private boutique hotel just outside of Reykjavík. Prepare to be inspired as you soak into an Icelandic fairytale.

Day 1: Arrive in Reykjavík

Welcome to Iceland! You will be met at the airport and transported directly to our hotel upon arrival. Our home for the week is Hotel Kriunes — a relaxing, family-owned boutique hotel perfectly situated to explore all of the highlights of Iceland. Take some time to unpack and settle into the tranquil hotel. Later in the evening, we will meet for our first yoga class followed by orientation and a two-course gourmet meal at the hotel.

Day 2: Golden Circle Tour

Today we will head out on a tour of the Golden Circle, a famous loop around southern Iceland. We will have the opportunity to visit the world's first geyser hot spring and Iceland's most well-known waterfall, Gullfoss, with a staggering 141 tons of water flowing over its edges per minute - be prepared to get wet! We will complete our Golden Circle tour with a visit to the stunning Thingvellir National Park, the only UNESCO World Heritage site located directly on the dividing tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia. Afternoon yoga will be followed by dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: Reykjavík & Sky Lagoon

After morning yoga and breakfast, our adventures will begin! We will start with a drive to the Geldingadalur volcano where we will explore the fresh lava field and learn all about the unique geology of Iceland. Then we descend down the mountain to Seltun geothermal area and explore bubbling mud pits and small fumaroles. We continue our descent to the bridge between two continents on the Reykjanes Peninsula before heading to Kerid Crater to explore a 6500-year-old volcanic crater in the heart of the Golden Circle before. We will conclude our excursions for the day with a visit to the famous Blue Lagoon for a relaxing soak in the natural geothermal waters (you will receive your drink of choice from the swim-up pool bar and a complimentary face mask). We will have dinner at a local tavern before returning to the hotel.

Day 4: South Coast Tour (Waterfalls & Glacier)

Today the adventure continues to Skogafoss Waterfall, one of the biggest in Iceland. We continue on to Black Sand Beach to marvel at the basalt columns and caves and then travel on to the small fishing village of Vik. We will then head back along the south coast to see Seljalandsfoss Waterfall and the Secret Waterfall, before driving to the stunning Sólheimajökull Glacier. In the 1930’s, Sólheimajökull, which had up until then been growing, suddenly started retreating and today it is hard to pinpoint its exact size. This is why the glacier is often nicknamed “The Shrinking Glacier” and many travelers visit the glacier due to the fact that in a few centuries, it might not still be there. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! We will have dinner at a local tavern before returning to the hotel.

Day 5: Hvammsvík Hot Spring

Rise and shine with morning yoga followed by breakfast. Today we will visit Hvammsvík Hot Spring, a natural geothermal hot spring known for its tranquil setting. Soak in warm, mineral-rich waters while enjoying stunning views of the surrounding Icelandic landscape. Evening yoga will be followed by dinner at the hotel.

Day 6: Free Day in Reykjavík

Rise and shine with morning yoga followed by breakfast. Today is a free day to explore Reykjavik or participate in options excursions (horseback riding, glacier hiking, whale watching). Evening yoga will be followed by dinner at the hotel.

Day 7: Reykjadalur Valley Hot Springs Hike

After morning yoga and breakfast, we will head out on an optional guided hike of the Reykjadalur Valley. The name Reykjadalur means Steam Valley and you will understand why when the valley opens up after the hike. The valley is filled with hot springs and mud pools, and there is even a hot river in which we will have the opportunity to bathe! Afternoon yoga and dinner will follow at the hotel.

Day 8: Trip Concludes

After breakfast together, our trip will conclude and you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.

Please note that exact timing and details are subject to change with each trip.
