Roll Off Driver



Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Roll Off Driver to join

our waste management team. The Roll Off Driver will be responsible for

safely and efficiently operating roll-off trucks to transport and deliver

containers for the removal of waste and construction debris. The ideal

candidate should have a valid commercial driver’s license – Class A (CDL), a

strong commitment to safety, and excellent driving skills.


Key Responsibilities:

Vehicle Operation:

• Safely operate roll-off trucks in compliance with traffic laws and

company policies, ensuring the secure transport of containers to

and from designated locations.

Container Delivery and Pickup:

• Deliver and pick up roll-off containers at construction sites,

residential areas, and other customer locations.

• Ensure proper placement and secure loading of containers onto

the truck.

Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the use

of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and report

any mechanical issues promptly.

Customer Interaction:

• Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a

professional demeanor, addressing customer inquiries, and

ensuring customer satisfaction during container drop-off and

pickup.

Route Planning:

• Efficiently plan and follow designated routes to optimize fuel

efficiency and meet scheduled delivery and pickup times.



Documentation:

• Complete accurate and timely paperwork, including trip logs,

maintenance records, and delivery/pickup tickets.

• Ensure that all required documentation is submitted to the

appropriate personnel.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Perform routine maintenance checks on the roll-off truck,

including checking fluids, tire pressure, and brakes.

• Report any maintenance issues to the maintenance department

for prompt resolution.

Communication:

• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and

other team members to relay information about job progress,

delays, or any issues that may arise during the course of the

workday.


Qualifications:

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL): Valid Class A CDL with air brake

endorsement.

• Experience: Proven experience as a roll-off driver or similar role is

preferred.

• Safety Conscious: Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols

and guidelines.

• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform the physical requirements of

the job, including lifting, pulling, and securing heavy containers.

• Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills,

both verbal and written.

• Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic

and the ability to work independently.
