KEEP ABORTION OUT OF THE OHIO CONSTITUTION!

Ohio Physicians for Reproductive Rights (a group of 1400 Ohio physicians--less than 4% of Ohio doctors) and Ohioans for Reproductive Freedom (composed of Planned Parenthood, which has been in the state for over 100 years, the ACLU of Ohio, Pro-Choice Ohio, Preterm-Cleveland, Abortion Fund of Ohio, the Ohio Women’s Alliance, URGE or United for Reproductive and Gender Equity and New Voices for Reproductive Justice) joined forces to become "Ohioans United for Reproductive Rights".

Right to Life of Northeast Ohio has joined the coalition of "Protect Women Ohio", made up of pro-life and conservative groups from across the state, to combat this dangerous ballot initiative.

Current status:

  • The ballot language has been approved by the Ohio Attorney General.

  • The "Protect Choice Ohio" coalition changed their name to "Ohioans United for Reproductive Rights" and submitted enough valid signatures to be placed on the November 2023 ballot.
  • The Ohio Ballot Board has named this proposed constiutional amendment Issue 1 on the ballot.
