The front of this building is 189 Central Street. At one time that was James P. Curran Men’s Clothing.

The name can be seen in the “ghost” writing above the windows and door.

The other sign used to say Hickey Freeman, a company that still makes men’s suits

The Strand Theatre was opened in 1917, closed around 1971,

and was demolished by the city shortly after these photos were taken.
