We invite you to attend the upcoming VIRTUAL Annual General Meeting on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM via Zoom. The AGM is an opportunity for members to provide input on AMHSA's future goals, engage with our Board of Directors and leadership, and to vote on resolutions (as defined in the Societies Act RSA 2000, S-14).


In order to ensure we can provide comprehensive information during the AGM; we encourage you to submit any questions in advance. Voting delegate forms and any resolutions for consideration must be submitted by May 6, 2024.

Once registered, you will receive an email from Zoom with instructions on how to access the meeting. The meeting will open at 9:45 AM to allow time for attendees to enter before the meeting begins at 10:00 AM. For details on virtual meetings and voting, please see our 2024 AGM Zoom Guide.

This is to give Notice of the 33rd Alberta Municipal Health and Safety Association (AMHSA) Annual and Special General Meeting (AGM) pursuant to Article 7, Section 7.1, Sub-section (J), and Section 7.2, Sub-section (L) of AMHSA Bylaws.

 

The 33rd AGM will be held VIRTUALLY via Zoom on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 10:00 AM.

Each Regular Member of the Association shall be entitled to one vote on every matter properly put before members at a meeting for a vote. A regular member includes any municipality which is a corporation pursuant to the laws of the Province of Alberta and holds a valid Workers' Compensation Board account.


The voting delegate of each regular member present at any meeting must be duly authorized to act accordingly by the member the voting delegate represents. 


Pursuant to Article 7, Section 7.5, Sub-section (B) of the Bylaws, notification of the duly authorized voting delegate from each Regular Member shall be submitted in writing to the Chairman prior to the Annual General Meeting being called to order.

Who can attend?


All AMHSA members are welcome to attend. Voting, motions and seconding are reserved for the authorized voting delegates of regular members. Questions are welcome from all members.

Who can vote?


Voting delegates who are authorized to vote on behalf of their municipality, and who have submitted their signed authorization form, are eligible to vote, motion, and second.

Who is a regular member?


A regular member includes any municipality which is a corporation pursuant to the laws of the Province of Alberta and holds a valid Workers' Compensation Board account.

How do I vote?
