Help Keep the Music Playing in Black Mountain

Give where it matters . . . Keep the Lights On. Keep the Music Playing. Support White Horse Black Mountain, a gathering place for music, connection, and care.

For 17 years, White Horse has been a cornerstone of creativity and connection in Black Mountain. Every show, every gathering, and every partnership shares one purpose: to bring people together and give back. Your support keeps the lights on, the stage alive, and the music playing for everyone to enjoy.

That spirit guided us this year when our region faced the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Through the White Horse Community Fund, donor support helped us provide immediate and ongoing relief to neighbors and local nonprofits rebuilding from the storm — including:

  • Hammer & Heart – urgent home repairs for vulnerable families.
  • Bounty & Soul – fresh food and wellness for those in need.
  • Swannanoa Valley Ministry – fuel and medical clinic support.
  • BMT Counseling Center – accessible mental healthcare for all.

We’re proud of this impact — but it’s important to be clear: every dollar we gave was a dollar we chose not to keep. White Horse isn’t a large or well-funded organization; your gift directly sustains this nonprofit listening room and community hub.

Every show at The White Horse is a benefit show, and every beat gives back. Through donations like yours, events and memberships, we’re able to keep the lights on, support local nonprofits, and ensure that everyone can experience the power and healing of live music — regardless of their ability to pay.

As you consider your own year-end giving plans, we hope you’ll include White Horse among the causes you support. And equally important, we’d be grateful if you helped us amplify our message — by sharing this opportunity with friends, clients, colleagues, financial and tax advisers, or others in the financial industry who may have clients seeking meaningful ways to give back before year’s end.

Together, these gifts make it possible for White Horse to remain a cornerstone of connection, creativity, and care in our region. donor-advised fund contributions, qualified charitable distributions (QCDs) from IRAs, required mandatory distribution contributions, and gifts of appreciated assets.White Horse welcomes a variety of charitable gifts, including

And thanks to donors like you, we’ll launch new community-centered programs and partnerships in the year ahead — continuing to build a stronger, more connected community where every show is a benefit and every beat gives back.

With Gratitude,
