We have weekly homework that is given every Monday. Please make sure your student is completing all homework in all of their classes.

I ready mypath is a wonderful tool to help meet your child where they are. If able, please have your child work on mypath in math and reading a few times a week.

What We Are Learning

ELA:

Students will write opinion pieces on topics or texts, supporting a point of view with reasons. Students will demonstrate command of the conventions of Standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking.

Reading:

Students will explain relationships between two or more events, ideas, or concepts in informational text. Unit 1 assessment will be on Friday, September 9th.

Social Studies:

Students will describe the functions of four major sectors in the U. S. economy

What We Are Learning

Math:

This week we are learning about how to order 2D shapes in a hierarchy based on their properties. We will focus on different types of triangles and quadrilaterals. We will have a math quiz on Friday.

Science:

We are continuing to study how the earth's surface changes through constructive and destructive forces. We will look at how humans can use technology to predict, prevent, or limit changes.
