Wesley Helps Our Community

HERE IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO HELP WESLEY!

Wesley Church was recently able to donate eight thousand dollars to Habitat for Humanity through the generosity and dedication of the members and congregation of Wesley Church! This money helps fund the building of low-income homes, tools, supplies, and the excellent Habitat for Humanity organization. Thank you so much, Wesley! WESLEY IS GOOD!

Please think of Just One and our mission when you make a trip to the grocery store or other common shopping locations and pick up a few things we want to distribute to our friends and neighbors. If shopping is not a convenient means of making a difference, we are also happy to receive monetary donations that you may be able to provide.

This ministry at Wesley began in July 2007, and we have created and given out over 1,200 shawls and hundreds more pocket crosses! Each cape has a story, and we are often amazed at how God works in and through this ministry. If you do not knit or crochet but would like to contribute to our ministry, we welcome donations to add to our yarn and supplies.

This year, Wesley UMC's stewardship theme is 'Wesley Church Makes a World of Difference.' And you will agree that Wesley indeed does!

We invite you to consider your financial support of Wesley Church as an annual sponsorship and help Wesley Church make a world of difference. This year's stewardship card asks you to write down - not a 'promise' or a 'pledge' - but a 'sponsorship commitment' for 2023. What kind of sponsorship of time, talent, and treasure will you make to secure a world of difference, not just for yourself, but for all who call Wesley 'home'?

We hope to receive support for all 365 days on Stewardship Sunday, October 23. Imagine: what if the day you sponsor is the day someone commits their life to God? What if the day you support is the day someone finds their church home? That's the world of difference that Wesley makes with your commitment to love God, our neighbor, and our church.

We are currently sponsored through September 2, 2023. We're pushing for Christmas! Thank you!!

Wednesdays at Wesley provide great opportunities to meet people as they come in and become familiar with our members! We are also looking for door greeters on Sunday mornings before worship. If you are interested in hospitality, please contact Mary Ann Knudson for more information!

Wesley is also in need of Kitchen help each Wednesday! If you would like to spend some time providing a tasty nutritious meal for busy families and folks involved in our Wednesday night programming, please get in touch with us by calling the Church or email here.

Wednesdays: 5:15 pm - 7:00 pm

Sundays: 8:30 am - 9:00 am

Sundays: 11:00 am - 11:30 am

We are always looking for door greeters! Each Sunday, from 8:30 - noon, we look for friendly faces to welcome our members and friends to service.

If this is you, please get in touch with Mary Ann Knudson.

The Wesley Communications Dept. can always use help with folding and setting out the Alive newsletter. They are printed and ready for assembly weekly on Thursday at noon. If you would like to offer some time to help with this, please email us at [email protected].
