2020 Election Information

Right to Life of Northeast Ohio is both a 501c3 and 501c4 charity that does not have a political action committee (PAC). This means that we cannot endorse candidates. What we CAN do is to encourage you to vote pro-life, and give you links to candidate and party comparison information about life issues. We believe that among all issues, the right to life is the primary issue. It's like buying a pair of shoes. The primary consideration has to be the size. We know that color, style, price and everything else is important, but it the shoe doesn't fit, the the rest doesn't matter. Likewise, if you don't have the right to life, none of the rest matters, either. When he was alive, Pope John Paul ll said this about life issues: "The common outcry, which is justly made on behalf of human rights---for example, the right to health, to home, to work, to family, to culture---is false and illusory if the right to life, the most basic and fundamental right and the condition for all other personal rights, is not defended with maximum determination,"

A danger to our democratic republic during turbulent times is apathy, Many people will choose not to vote saying their vote doesn't matter. Another, especially among conservatives is that they won't share their beliefs in fear of being "bashed" by a seemingly liberal majority. Another danger is choosing to vote on personality rather than policy.

Every four years, the parties hold a national convention to nominate a presidential candidate and also meet to approve a party platform of issues and positions upon which the candidates will run. A party platform is a set of principles, goals and strategies designed to address pressing political issues. Each party's platform is broken down into "planks," or declarations that speak to each specific issue. These platforms guide decisions until the next presidential election.

what does it mean.jpg

Some say that pro-life advocates care only about a child in the womb, but not after it is born. If this is how YOU feel, then you are not "pro-life"...you are just "anti-abortion." The U.S. Constitution says:

"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this constitution for the United States of America"

So how does this translate to being pro-life? CLICK HERE to read more.

Through the generosity of a greatly reduced cost from Albert Screenprint in Norton, we have been able to secure a limited supply of "Vote Pro-Life" signs! These yard signs are perfect to show everyone that you are pro-life. The 16"x22" yard sign is printed with the same image on both sides and made of corrugated plastic for years of use. While you are welcome to the signs, we'd be grateful for any donations to help offset the remaining costs. Please stop by our office during the week to come and get your Vote Pro-Life signs to help spread the word in your community! We are at limited staffing in our office at present, so while there is normally someone here at least between 10am and 4pm, give us a call at 330-762-2785 to make sure we will be here!
