LIFE-CHANGING | UNFORGETTABLE | FRIENDSHIP | COMMUNITY

Each year, more than 500 riders from across the nation and world come together for SMART Ride - now the 2nd largest AIDS bicycle ride in the country, and the only one of its size to give back 100% of every dollar raised! Since 2003 over $13 MM has been raised to help those infected, affected or at risk of HIV and AIDS in Florida.

10 REASONS TO PARTCIPATE

  1. Raise awareness to end stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS stigma
  2. Honor those who have passed away from AIDS-related causes
  3. Help fund the work of Pridelines (Miami-Dade County's LGBT youth community center since 1982)
  4. Breathtaking scenic views as you ride to the southernmost point in the United States
  5. Meet, connect and celebrate with amazing people
  6. Don't have to be professional cyclist - SMART Ride is not a race, but rather a ride
  7. Training rides offered for free ahead of the event
  8. Fully-supported ride inclusive of sweep and SAG vehicles
  9. Pit stops located every 13-17 miles to restock on snacks and rehydrate
  10. Overnight housing, meals, a medical team, massage team, bike parking, etc.

REQUIREMENTS TO PARTICIPATE

  • All riders must be at least 18 years of age at the time of the ride
  • Registration fee of $135 which is used to offset the cost of putting together the ride
  • Fundraising goal of $1250 - an online fundraising page will be provided and we're here to help
