Prosper Academy Classes and Workshops

Prosper Academy offers life skills classes and practical workshops led by community experts. Topics include communication, budgeting, cooking, relationships, self-advocacy, and more.

Work: Mapping Your Career Path


March 30 and April 6, 13 and 20

Work: Mapping Your Career Path is designed to help neurodivergent adults gain clarity, direction, and confidence in their career journeys. 

By focusing on topics like career exploration, goal setting, networking, mentorship, and professional growth, this course helps participants develop real-world skills that promote independence and long-term career development. 



Finance: Budgeting Basics


April 1, 8, 15, 22 , 29 and May 6, 13, 20 – Offered at 2 times each day, in-person or virtual

Budgeting Basics is designed to help neurodivergent adults build confidence and independence by learning how to manage money through simple, hands-on budgeting strategies. 

By focusing on topics like budgeting principles, expense tracking, saving for goals, and preparing for unexpected costs, this course helps participants develop real-world financial skills that reduce stress and promote long-term financial stability. Through guided instruction, practical examples, and individual support, learners gain the tools to create and maintain a budget that fits their personal goals and lifestyles.



Social: Understanding My Community


April 14, 21, 28 and May 5, 12 and 19

In Social: Understanding My Community, participants learn how to create and maintain meaningful social and professional connections through goal setting, self-awareness, and community engagement. Building on the foundations from Social: Understand Me and Social: Understanding Others, this course focuses on applying behavioral health principles to real-world social goals. From feeling more comfortable making phone calls to planning a first date or joining a community group.



Students will develop personalized action plans based on their interests and aspirations, learning how to break goals into manageable steps and follow through successfully. The class also explores the connection between autism and social burnout, offering strategies for balance, cognitive reframing, and navigating setbacks in a supportive environment. Participants leave this course with a clear understanding of how to set themselves up for success in building both social and professional networks.



Living: Organizing Your Life


April 16, 23, 30 and May 7, 14, 21 – Offered at 2 times each day, in-person or virtual

Registration for 6:00pm Virtual Class


This 6-week course helps participants understand why home systems matter by exploring executive functioning — the brain’s management system for planning, organization, and follow-through. From there, participants build personalized, sustainable systems for maintaining a functional, comfortable, and low-stress home environment.



Work: Job Search Essentials


April 27 and May 4, 11 and 18

Prosper Academy: Job Search Essentials is designed to help neurodivergent adults build the foundational skills and confidence needed to find, apply for, and secure meaningful employment. By focusing on topics like resume writing, cover letter creation, job searching, and interview preparation, this course helps participants develop real-world job readiness skills that promote independence and self-advocacy in the workplace.
