Unlike myriad news organizations that deceptively slant, hide, or distort the news while claiming to be "objective", I forthrightly acknowledge an editorial point of view that is guided by my support of the U.S. Constitution and the principles upon which it is based, and the personal responsibility a free people must exercise to stay free.

Creating Utah Standard News requires constant website and email improvements, sophisticated hardware, and custom software. There are also legal, accounting, and insurance costs. 

I am overly transparent with the finances and will publish a monthly profit/loss report. If everyone reading this donated the cost of a milkshake at Iceberg, or a Big Mac combo, the expenses would be covered and I could devote all of my working hours to the cause of Liberty. This is not a money-making scheme, but I do need to survive. Publishing ‘This Week’ consumes 10-12 hours a week and does not make up for the loss of income from other sources that are available. I do it because I am a patriot and believe that truth matters. 

I am capping donations at $300 a week and will give any excess to local conservative non-profit organizations and candidates that meet stringent requirements.

The best ways to ensure that good journalism thrives is by reading it, sharing it, and today -- giving back to it.
