IndigPro is a 100% Indigenous owned marketing agency, right here on Treaty #1 territory, the ancestral and traditional homeland of Anishinaabe peoples. We are one of the fastest growing Indigenous organizations in Manitoba. We provide a range of services that include web design and software development, digital marketing, social media management, graphic design, branding and creative, marketing strategy and implementation, video and photography, and print production. Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Content and Social Media Specialist. The role requires the individual to handle day-to-day social media activities for multiple clients, including content creation, scheduled postings, community management, social media metrics and analytics. The incumbent will also collaborate with the marketing team to create client content strategies, write impactful long and short form contents for diverse industries. Responsibilities


Social Media Management:


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to increase IndigPro and Clients’ online presence and engagement
  • Create, curate, and schedule compelling content across various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and Tiktok
  • Monitor and respond to social media comments, messages, and inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Analyze social media metrics and provide regular reports with insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media efforts with broader marketing initiatives


Content Creation:


  • Research and write engaging and culturally appropriate content that highlights Indigenous cultures, histories, and stories
  • Create compelling blog posts, articles, and website content that educates and informs IndigPro's and our clients' audience
  • Collaborate with Indigenous communities and experts to ensure content authenticity and accuracy
  • Develop a content calendar that aligns with brand and messaging goals
  • Implement SEO best practices to optimize content for increased visibility and reach


Community Engagement:


  • Build and nurture a strong online community for IndigPro and our clients
  • Foster meaningful discussions and interactions with our audience through social media platforms
  • Represent Indigpro and our clients with authenticity, respect, and cultural sensitivity in all online interactions


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of Social Media Marketing and Optimization experience in a professional setting, including at least 2 years of experience in a Content Writing role
  • A deep appreciation, respect and Knowledge Indigenous cultures and heritage
  • Excellent Communication, Interpersonal and Writing skills
  • Proven Content Strategy development experience
  • Proficiency in social media analytics tools and platforms
  • Expertise in content writing across diverse industries including; finance, government, technology etc.
  • Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
