High School Summer Courses

HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER COURSE

Continuing education throughout some of the summer is consistently beneficial to students retaining the knowledge and skills that are acquired throughout the year, and well as to students fulfilling their academic pathways. The credits offered in the summer term at St-Laurent Academy are chosen to complement the courses offered in our standard academic year. As such, summer credits are only offered in the summer term. There are options ranging from assisting students who are transitioning into high school to students transitioning into University.

When: June 29 - July 24th, 2026

Time: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 3:00pm

Cost: $1550 per course, includes bi-weekly field trips

GLS1O - Learning Strategies for Success in Secondary School

Grade 8 (moving to Grade 9) to Grade 12 - A course all students entering high school should take!

This course focuses on learning strategies to help you become a better, more independent learner. You will learn how to develop and apply literacy and numeracy skills, personal management skills, and interpersonal and teamwork skills to improve your learning and achievement in school, the workplace, and the community. The course helps you build confidence and motivation to pursue opportunities for success in secondary school and beyond.

LWSBD - Spanish

Grade 10 to 12 - Let's Get Ready to Travel!

This course provides opportunities for students to begin to develop and apply skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in the language of study. Students will communicate and interact in structured activities, with a focus on matters of personal interest and familiar topics, and will read and write simple texts in the language. Throughout the course, students will acquire an understanding and appreciation of diverse communities in regions of the world where the language is spoken. They will also develop skills necessary for lifelong language learning.
