Corporate Transaction Awards

Enterprise value is on the line, jobs are at stake and time is the enemy. Turnaround professionals step in to improve operations, implement sound practices and enhance cash flow. TMA understands that not all of its members are exclusively involved in operational turnarounds. This award can also recognize the TMA member who, together with a team of other TMA members, has orchestrated the most successful transaction (i.e., non-operational restructuring, such as mergers and acquisitions, sales, loans, liquidations, etc.). The awards are presented to the individual who, together with a team of other TMA turnaround professionals, has orchestrated the most successful transaction/turnaround this past calendar year.

Individual Awards

Nominate yourself or a colleague for the recognition they deserve. The Turnaround Management Association (TMA) Detroit NextGen and Lifetime Achievement Awards recognize individuals who have gone above and beyond for the TMA Detroit Chapter. NextGen Award

Emerging leaders bring vibrancy and energy to volunteer organizations, from fresh ideas to cutting edge technology suggestions. Without these innovative perspectives, an association would flounder. The winner in this category will be an active TMA Detroit NextGen professional in the turnaround and restructuring field. This award honors the dedication of one such individual. 

Lifetime Achievement Award

This award is to celebrate the significant achievements of a TMA Detroit member’s career in the turnaround profession.  This includes TMA Detroit members, active or retired, who deserve to be considered for this Lifetime Achievement Award.  The winner of this award is a TMA Detroit member with a long history of experience in the turnaround/restructuring industry.
