Be A BUDDY at Pieces of Me Camp!

We need YOU! Our biggest volunteer need is for Buddies! A Buddy is just that...a person who volunteers to stick close to a camper and engage in activities along side the camper. Buddies have special trauma informed training that is given prior to camp that helps them connect, understand, and help their camper through their time at camp. We need both Adult Buddies for both Teen and Kid Camp and Student (age 15+) for Kid Camp! We have paid and non paid positions with service hours available!

Adult Buddies needed for Teen Camp (July 8th-12th)

Adult & Student (age 15+) needed for Kids Camp (July 22nd-26th)

Making Sense of Your Worth

Self-Worth is the foundation of who we are as human beings and in today’s world is highly sought after. It plays a role in every decision we make and in every relationship we have. This eight week program is designed for anybody who desires the freedom that comes with living in positive self-worth and secure attachment.

The Making Sense of Your Worth Curriculum follows a step-by-step process of gaining positive self-worth. It was created by Cindy R. Lee, LCSW in partnership with HALO Project International and participants in the program show an increase in positive self-worth upon completion. These classes will be led by Kristin Rich, LPC

Reclaim Compassion Small Group Class

Shed your shame. Renew your hope. Rediscover the parent you know you can be.

Is your adoption journey turning out differently than you imagined? You had so much love to give, but now you feel ashamed and bewildered by your lack of compassion. You may be experiencing blocked care—a self-protective mechanism in your nervous system that makes it difficult to connect with your child and maintain compassion. When it happens, it’s like your heart seems to have left the relationship. But the good news is you are not a bad parent. You can heal from blocked care, and compassion can be rekindled in your heart.

Known & Loved is excited to announce a new 10 week Small Group Study to dive deep into the amazing book, Reclaim Compassion written by Lisa Qualls and Melissa Corkum. Join Kristin Rich, LPC and other parents for discussion, creative arts, and compassion in a nonjudgmental community!

Renovate: A Christ-Center Sexual Abuse Recovery Group

Common obstacles to walking in true freedom and abundant life often start with questions like this: What if it wasn’t really sexual abuse? What if it was all my fault and people would judge and reject me if they knew? What if it hurts to bring it up? What good is it to bring up the past? Shouldn’t I just forgive and forget? Whether or not we want to admit it, sexual abuse experiences impact us. During our 13 week Renovate Group, we take our secrets into the light in a safe, structured environment to facilitate insight, healing, and restoration. You are loved, and you are worth it.

Introducing You Matter Mentors!

Through Pieces of Me Camp 2022 we met some amazing adopted teens and children who were able to explore their story. We believe that there needs to be even more opportunities for connection!

This program invites adopted teens and young adults (15 and older) to train together to be mentors to children who've been adopted. After the basic training, they will be invited to be a Counselor in Training (CRT) at Pieces of Me Kids Camp 2023 and will be paired with a camper as a Buddy. They will be invited to engage with their camper monthly for different lessons and service projects to serve the community using he You Matter Curriculum in the Fall.
