PSRFCU's Yearly Scholarship is now available!

This year, we are offering two $1,000 scholarships. These scholarships are available to any members who have recently graduated or are looking to further their education. To apply, scan the link at the bottom of this section to access the application and essay prompt. Once you've clicked the link, you should be able to print the form or save it to your computer and then work on it. If you need any assistance, please let us know!

Essays and applications are due by 7/31/2025, and whoever wins the scholarship will be notified in August. The essay prompt is based off what credit score is and how it impacts people, with more details included below on the application. Those who are chosen will have a check mailed out to their place of education to go towards their tuition.

Because we are local and our board is comprised of members, all identifiers like names will be removed to keep the process of choosing a winner blind and based off the work that is submitted.

Youth Super Saver limit is increased to $1000

Our board has voted to increase the maximum amount of money allowed in Youth Super Saver accounts. This account has been a great way for our youngest members to start saving, but as of now you can save and earn twice as much!

How it works is super simple; the Credit Union will pay Prime Rate + 1.00% (as of 7/1/2025 prime rate is 7.50%, so we pay 8.50%) quarterly on the funds that are deposited and kept in the Super Saver. We require at least an initial deposit of $500, but no more than $1000. You can either do your initial deposit of $500 and let all dividends go back into the account to build itself up to the maximum allowed $1000.

When an account has the maximum $1000 allowed, all dividends earned will transfer to the minor's original Youth Share Savings as default which earns at the same rate as our regular share 0.50%. You can transfer funds from your account to your child's in the app or mobile portal, or we can in the office for you. Contact the office for any questions with the change.

Fraud Alert Update

For members who use our checking and debit card services, we offer fraud services to protect you from scams and in the case of any unauthorized purchase that came from one. Traditionally this has been in the form of a call from our third party service, but now we are offering text services for fraud monitoring.

If you opt into this service. you will receive a message from 49447 so it is easier to identify than a carousel of random numbers from a live call.

Annual Member Appreciation this August 2025

It's nearly that time of year again, where we hold a picnic to celebrate our members and to show our appreciation! Every year we will cater food on our front lawn and have goodie bags with PSRFCU goodies we like to order specifically for the event.

We recommend bringing a friend with you from the plant who may qualify for membership, if they do and create an account and say you recommended them, we will credit your account $25 for that!

Keep an eye out for RSVP's this mid-July so we can properly order enough food for everyone!

Biannual Supervisory Committee Review

Our Supervisory Committee is doing their every two year review of account balances this upcoming quarter. What this looks like from your end is you may receive a letter and a date confirming your balance. If anything looks off, please reach out to us so we can communicate it with the Supervisory Committee.

This is oversight to make sure we are in compliance and accounts are up-to-date with their balances but also their addresses and contact information. If any information may need updating, please contact the office here or by phone call to update said information.
