What is a Sisters Forward Gathering?

Sisters Forward Gatherings are in-person women's events with live worship and inspired Bible teaching. They create space for you to grow spiritually and celebrate alongside your sisters in Christ.

Who are the speakers?

CASSIA ELDER

Cassia Elder is an author, speaker, and founder of Sisters Forward. She lives in a little log cabin on the creek with her husband Chris and their son Asa.


She is a nerd for God’s Word who has been passionate about crafting with words since joining the Young Author’s Club in the fourth grade.

ANGIE BAUGHMAN

Angie is a pastor, Bible teacher, writer, podcaster, creator of the Step By Step Bible study method, and the founder of Steady On ministries.


She is a trauma and abuse survivor who talks openly about overcoming obstacles to live in close connection with Jesus.

TERESA DAVIS

Teresa is a Grief Mentor, Author and Podcaster as well as a practicing RN. A wife of 39 years, a mother of two children, Andrew and Sarah. Nana to four grand babies, and one fur baby.


Teresa and her family live in southern Indiana just across the river from Louisville Kentucky-home of the Kentucky Derby.

SANDI BAETE

Sandi Baete is an author, speaker, and wordsmith who loves sharing practical ways of living out the truths of scripture in everyday life.


Sandi’s mission in life is to love her husband well, be brave with her gifts and talents so her children will do the same, and in all things to be her Lord’s servant.

ROCIO REYES WILLIAMS

Originally from Mexico City, Rocio moved to Marion, IL in 2008. She felt the call to ministry in 2002, and been serving as a local pastor in the United States since 2010.


Her passion is to make the Gospel accessible to all Spanish speakers in the area.

SHERRICA DAVIS-HUNT

Event Emcee

Sherrica is a God-loving southern belle, wife, mother, fundraiser, networking queen, and lover of coffee. She serves as the assistant vice chancellor for diversity, equity, and inclusion at the SIU Foundation. She is also the author of, "Networking and Lattes: 10 Steps to Networking."

What is the schedule for the day?

9:00 am - 11:30 am Main Event

Participate in teaching, live worship music, event giveaways, and enriching fellowship.


11:30 am - 12:50 pm Lunch

Dine on your own at area restaurants or with the speakers for an additional fee.


1:00 pm - 2:50 pm Breakout Sessions

Join some of the featured speakers for small sessions on topics to grow your spiritual walk.

What is the study focus?

The speakers will be focusing their individual messages on Philippians 4:8.

What is the financial investment?

Event tickets are $25/person and include all the speakers and music during the morning session and one breakout session in the afternoon.


Childcare costs are an additional $5/child.


Optional lunch with the speakers is an additional $7/person.
