| Dear Church Family,
According to scholars (and Google AI!), Psalm 23 is the most famous and widely recognized of the Psalms. As a new Christian, it was the first Scripture that I memorized. I loved to recite it because it gave me peace. “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.” (Ps. 23:1a). God promises to provide for us and give us rest, guide us, and be present with us, blessing us with protection, comfort, and abundance.
The Psalmist finishes with this:
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
With all the promises and blessings, goodness and mercy will follow us in life. That’s where I want to live—don’t you?
God challenged me this summer, and here’s what I realized: I wasn’t experiencing the goodness and mercy that should have been following me because I wasn’t keeping my focus on the things of God. I got distracted. My eyes were on circumstances; they were on cares that I had trouble leaving with the Lord (I’d leave them with the Lord and pick them right back up again!). Now, I know better. After I’d sorted myself out with the Lord (I asked Him to forgive me for getting distracted), I made a commitment to Him. I said, “Lord, I’m going to be watching for and expecting Your goodness and mercy to follow me.”
Can I tell you? I am seeing goodness and mercy! They are following me. Why? Because I’m looking for them.
If you start looking, they’ll follow you too.
Blessings, Ali |

Married for Life is a 12-week journey designed to strengthen and transform your marriage. This course will be running this fall at our Moose Jaw location (date to be announced). It helps couples discover God's design for marriage and teaches practical ways to build a thriving life together.
Our leaders not only teach biblical principles that make a marriage last, but also transparently model these principles through their own lives. We have seen hundreds of couples complete this course. Whether your marriage is struggling or doing well, God can transform it into a powerhouse home that shines as a light to those around you.
