Programs were held all across the city of Hartford at four Catholic Charities Family Centers and seven Hartford Public Library branches. Children and their caregivers learned the basics of robotics, modeled the local watershed, built a sled to race down a “snowy” ramp, planted seeds, and much more at the 2023 events and workshops.
This year the Neighborhoods events have started with a great dealof interest. With funding through the Center for STEAM Advancement Collaborative and the North Hartford Ascend Pipeline, Hartford families will explore the intersections of art, science, and engineering, take a closer look at how the human body works, try their hand at 3-D printing, and more. All of the programs are free and open to children of all ages and their caregivers. Many Hartford libraries made STEAM related banners with children and their caregivers.
