A Two-Day Mind, Body & Heart Reset

August 22–23, 2026

Stillwater Stables | Ortonville, Michigan

Step away from the noise.

Release what you have been carrying.

Return to yourself.

You have been holding everything together.

Managing responsibilities.

Meeting expectations.

Taking care of everyone else.

Trying to remain strong, productive and positive.

But beneath the surface, you may feel exhausted.

Your mind rarely slows down.

Your body holds tension.

You worry about what is coming next.

And somewhere along the way, you may have become disconnected from your own needs, voice and sense of peace.

Return to Peace is an intimate two-day retreat designed to help you step out of survival mode, regulate your nervous system and reconnect with the person beneath the pressure.

This is not about escaping your life.

It is about returning to it with more peace, clarity, energy and freedom.

The Stillwater retreat was a true reset. The message about living in a state were we respond instead of reacting was thoughtfully delivered with action-oriented affirmations that offer a path to lasting peace. I believe I can live differently with practice, and eventually won't require resets.

This Is Not Your Ordinary Yoga Retreat

Return to Peace is not a weekend filled with back-to-back yoga classes, vague inspiration or pressure to become a more “spiritual” version of yourself.

It is a practical, experiential and heart-centered immersion that brings together modern nervous-system understanding with time-tested practices that have helped people cultivate presence, resilience and inner peace for centuries.

You will not simply be told to relax.

You will begin to understand what happens inside your mind and body when stress, anxiety and worry take over—and experience tools that can help you shift your state.

You will not be asked to perform, impress or have everything figured out.

You will be invited to slow down, soften the armor and reconnect with what is real.

This experience blends:

  • Nervous-system regulation
  • Guided breathwork
  • Meditation and mental imagery
  • Heart-brain coherence
  • Mindful yoga and movement
  • Horse and nature connection
  • Reflection and journaling
  • Authentic conversation
  • Optional sauna and cold plunge
  • Rest, nourishing food and meaningful connections

No previous experience with yoga, meditation, breathwork or horses is required.

More Than Relaxation

A few peaceful hours can feel wonderful.

But Return to Peace is designed to go deeper.

The goal is not simply to help you feel calm while you are at Stillwater.

The goal is to help you understand how to create greater calm

Throughout the retreat, you will explore practical ways to:

  • Interrupt cycles of overthinking and worry
  • Move from stress and reactivity toward greater calm
  • Recognize what your body is communicating
  • Release emotional and physical tension
  • Create a deeper sense of safety within yourself
  • Respond to difficult moments with greater awareness
  • Reconnect with your values, needs and authentic voice
  • Stop abandoning yourself to gain approval
  • Carry greater presence into your relationships and everyday life

This is where ancient wisdom meets modern understanding.

You will experience these practices rather than only learning about them intellectually.

Because lasting change does not happen through information alone.

It happens when the mind understands, the body experiences and the heart becomes involved.

Brian,

Thank you for the wonderful day!

Brian is very knowledgeable yet approachable....a great mentor, teacher and coach. The workshop was a combination of yoga, breathwork, meditation, authentic conversations, and delicious healthy food! I loved being able to interact with the horses, and meet others interested in learning and growing!

A Rare and Intimate Michigan Retreat Experience

Return to Peace is intentionally different.

Rather than moving through a crowded schedule or becoming one person in a large retreat group, you will be part of an intimate experience where there is space to be seen, supported and fully present.

Stillwater Stables offers an environment unlike a traditional hotel, studio or conference space.

You will be surrounded by:

  • Peaceful countryside
  • Horses and open pastures
  • Water and natural beauty
  • Quiet trails and restorative spaces
  • Cozy overnight accommodations
  • Space to breath, reflect and connect

The retreat will move between guided practices, meaningful conversations, nature, rest and connection.

There will be structure—but also room to exhale.

You will not be rushed from one activity to another.

The Experiences

Nervous-System Reset

Learn how stress affects the mind and body, and experience practical techniques that can help shift you from tension and reactivity into greater calm, presence and regulation.

These are tools you can continue using long after the retreat ends.

Guided Breathwork

Use intentional breathing techniques to influence your physical, mental and emotional state.

Different practices will be used for calming, focus, emotional release and deeper connection.

Meditation and Mental Imagery

Train your attention, quiet mental noise and access a deeper internal sense of peace.

Guided mental imagery will help you connect with how you want to feel, live and move forward.

Heart-Brain Coherence

Explore practices that combine intentional breathing, focused attention and elevated emotion to create greater alignment between the mind, body and heart.

Mindful Yoga and Movement

Reconnect with your body through accessible movement that emphasizes awareness, mobility and presence rather than performance.

You do not need to be flexible or experienced.

This is not about how the poses look.

It is about how present you become while moving through them.

Horse Connection

Horses invite us into the present moment.

They respond to energy, intention and authenticity—not titles, achievements or the image we present to the world.

Through guided time with the horses, you will have the opportunity to slow down, become more aware of your internal state and experience connection without the need to perform.

No riding or previous horse experience is required.

Nature, Stillness and Reflection

The natural environment at Stillwater becomes part of the retreat itself.

You will have opportunities to walk, sit quietly, journal, reflect and create enough inner space to hear your own voice again.

Authentic Connection

Many people are surrounded by others and still feel alone.

Return to Peace creates space for meaningful conversation without pressure to impress, fix or give advice.

You will be welcomed exactly as you are.

This retreat was a true reset! The message about living in a state were responding instead of reacting was thoughtfully delivered with action-oriented affirmations that offer a path to lasting peace. I believe I can live differently with practice, and eventually won't require resets.

This Retreat May Be for You If…

You feel mentally or emotionally exhausted, even when life appears fine from the outside.

You struggle to quiet your thoughts or fully relax.

You feel caught in cycles of anxiety, worry or overthinking.

You spend so much time caring for others that you feel disconnected from yourself.

You are tired of people-pleasing, performing or hiding how you really feel.

You are moving through change, uncertainty, grief or a transition.

You want practical tools for navigating stress and emotional overwhelm.

You crave meaningful connection rather than surface-level conversation.

You know something within you needs space, but you rarely give yourself permission to take it.

You do not need to be broken to need a reset.

Sometimes even the strongest people need somewhere safe to set down what they have been carrying.

What You May Leave With

Return to Peace does not promise that you will never experience stress, anxiety or difficult emotions again.

It offers something more honest and useful:

A new way to meet those experiences.

You may leave with:

  • A calmer and more regulated nervous system
  • Practical tools for everyday moments of stress
  • Greater awareness of your patterns and triggers
  • A deeper connection with your body and heart
  • More clarity around what you need and value
  • Permission to stop performing
  • Greater confidence in expressing your authentic self
  • Meaningful connection with people seeking something deeper
  • A renewed sense of peace, possibility and inner freedom

You will not be asked to become someone new.

You will be invited to return to who you are beneath the pressure, expectations and noise.

The Overnight Difference

Something changes when we give ourselves more than a few hours.

We stop watching the clock.

We settle into the environment.

The nervous system begins to soften.

Conversation becomes more honest.

And we create enough distance from everyday life to see ourselves more clearly.

The overnight portion of Return to Peace will offer a quieter and more intimate continuation of the retreat.

The evening may include guided reflection, meaningful conversation, meditation, time in nature and space to simply be.

You will wake at Stillwater and begin the second day without immediately returning to the demands and noise of everyday life.

This is what allows the retreat to become more than an event.

It becomes an experience you can fully enter.
