Thank you for investing in CHWs across the DFW Metroplex!

By supporting the DFW-CHW Association, you are helping us reach our mission by carrying out our vision of:

Advocating for the inclusion of CHWs in community outreach activities, health care delivery, emergency preparedness/response, and research.
Providing community and employment resources to connect CHWs with available resources for all populations.
Creating networking opportunities for CHWs across the DFW to foster a sense of community.
Creating outreach opportunities to provide education and resources to underserved communities.

How funds are used:

Membership Support

Every year, the association sets aside funds to provide a Professional Development Scholarship to members who wish to attend professional development events not offered by the association.

Since the start of the pandemic in 2020, the association established the Member Relief Funds to provide financial assistance to members experiencing hardship.

Professional Development

We continue to offer an Annual Regional Conference and Quarterly Member Meetings to support the professional development and skills development needs of our members.

For the second time, in 2022, the association is also hosting the CHW Employer Forum to advocate for the inclusion of CHWs into organizational teams.

Like any other organization, the association also has its annual operational costs that include:

Accountant fees
Salary for 1 part time paid staff
Banking fees
Marketing
