Homeowner Rain Garden Maintenance Workshops

Residential rain gardens are being installed in Charles County to manage stormwater runoff. As the owner of a property with one of these practices, you are responsible for its proper maintenance so that it continues to function.

To help residents better understand these practices and the necessary maintenance, Charles County Government is sponsoring two residential rain garden maintenance workshops in partnership with the University of Maryland Environmental Finance Center and the Chesapeake Conservation Landscaping Council.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from experts about the function and maintenance of these practices.
