| Youth Art Classes are a legacy at the Springfield Museum of Art. Join us for youth art classes inspired by art in the galleries and exploring a variety of art materials in the studio. This historic photo shows children's art classes at the Springfield Museum of Art from 1962 as a reminder of the museum's enduring focus on youth, education, and serving as a community resource.
During each class, a Teaching Artist leads interactive, fun experiences in the galleries, focusing on artworks, and creates hands-on, open-ended studio art experiences for children. Children will explore different art mediums and methods and create works of art to take home. Each class offers new experiences and the chance to play with art!
Youth Art Classes: one class per week, four weeks in a row. Each class is 3:45-4:45 pm. The museum closes at 5 pm.
