Bishop's Lenten Bible Study on Zoom

In the Image and Likeness: God's people, as we are

Largely focused on texts from the Book of Genesis, this Lenten Bible Study is designed to reconnect us to the God who sees us, knows us and loves us - just as we are. But how do we trust - and use well - the gifts that are given to us, and how do we engage in healthy relationships with one another, imperfections and all?

The study met online (Zoom) on Thursdays at 4:00 p.m.

  • March 6: Created in the image and likeness - and the first human family (Genesis 1, Genesis 4:1-16). Link to the video of the session: HERE.

  • March 20: Jacob - a mother's favorite, a brother's nemesis (Genesis 25:19-34, Genesis 27). Link to the video of the session HERE.

  • March 27: Jacob's fear of a brother's revenge (Genesis 32-33). Link to the video of the session HERE.

  • April 3: "Kill the Dreamer" - Joseph and his brothers (Who told dad he could pick a younger son as his favorite?) - A look at jealousy, pride (or maybe it's confidence...?): Genesis 37; Genesis 39; Genesis 41). Link to the video of the session HERE.

  • April 10: Gifted in ways we can't comprehend: Moses (Since I am a poor speaker, why would Pharaoh listen to me?) (Exodus 6, Exodus 7). Link to the video of the session HERE
