What do they do?

Weld Community Foundation has carved out a special place in the community through so many diverse connections. In awarding grants and support to area nonprofits, it has had the privilege of getting to know a vast majority of the nonprofit organizations who are diligently working in the region. In working with government and infrastructure, the Foundation has come alongside community movers and shakers, and in setting up funds with donors, it’s gotten to know visionaries who want their charitable gifts well-stewarded with strategic impact.

The mission of the American Red Cross is to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of disasters. What do they do?

Bounce Animal Rescue is a nonprofit organization focused on rescuing and transitioning displaced domestic animals into their ideal homes. Bounce places heavy emphasis on quality veterinary care, nutrition, spay/neuter programs, education, and compatible adoptions.

What do they do?

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County is a non-profit organization that provides a safe and positive environment for children and young adults. They offer a wide range of programs, including education, sports, arts, and social activities, to help children develop their skills and abilities. The organization's mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

What do they do?

Boards and Commissions are groups of citizen volunteers that study special community issues and provide direction, comment and recommendations to the City Council. These 23 groups are the voice of the community; they influence public policy and programming decisions that can affect the entire city.

Boards and Commissions are a great way to get involved in your community. They provide a venue for the healthy and harmonious discussion of issues from a variety of perspectives. The City Council is committed to appointing members that reflect Greeley's diverse character and considers a number of factors including geography, minority status, gender, and occupation or experiences when making appointments.

What do they do?

The Community Grief Center helps people of all ages grieving a death find connection and healing; and educates the community on grief's impact on the individual and society. All services are provided at no charge to community members.

Crossroads Safehouse


What do they do?

Crossroads Safehouse provides trauma informed care to victims of domestic violence through advocacy and support. Its programs and services include our crisis line (answered by an advocate 24/7), emergency shelter (accessible 24/7), non-resident advocacy, domestic abuse response, legal advocacy, legal representation, rapid and transitional housing, prevention and education, and youth and bilingual advocacy.

What do they do?

The Genesis Project of Northern Colorado empowers single mothers in their pursuit of a new beginning. We accomplish that mission by providing stable housing, family advocacy, counseling, and training in life skills and finances.

Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra


What do they do?

The Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra is a regional professional orchestra and is one of only a few orchestras in the United States today to reach the elite status of operating for over a century. The GPO believed that the quest for beautiful music was a hallmark of those who settled in our area, and so it remains today.

High Plains Chautauqua


What do they do?

High Plains Chautauqua is a signature Weld County event, a beloved living-history festival held annually in Greeley. Each year HPC typically draws a total audience of up to 5,000 from all over Colorado and beyond. Entertaining professional performances by nationally acclaimed Chautauqua scholars serve as catalysts for discussion and learning each festival night and additional daytime program are held for adults and youth throughout Chautauqua week.

High Plains Housing Development


What do they do?

To be the leading partner in the development of housing opportunities for low-to-moderate income households in Greeley/Weld County. Our current project and focus is Phase 1--a permanent supportive housing development in Greeley that will build housing for our most vulnerable homeless population (58 units).

What do they do?

Hope House Northern Colorado empowers teenage parenting moms to strive for personal and economic self-sufficiency and to understand their significance in God's sight resulting in a healthy future for them and their children.

What do they do?

Jobs of Hope is a faith-based reentry program proudly serving men in Weld County, Colorado since 2013. We empower formerly incarcerated individuals and gang-affiliated individuals in Weld County to reconnect to their families, values, and communities. Our mission is to restore hope and see transformation in the lives of our clients. Using a 7-step approach, we work with each client to develop mental and emotional wholeness, a career plan, and a permanent housing plan.

What do they do?

Meals on Wheels of Greeley and Weld County has a mission to make a difference in the lives of those unable to prepare/cook for themselves by providing hot nutritious meals delivered by caring volunteers. We deliver more than just a meal by providing a friendly visit and check-in with each delivery. Our program is designed to help restore or maintain health through nutrition and social contact in an effort to keep older adults living in their homes healthy and independently.

The Women's Fund of Weld County, Inc. was founded in 1999 by women from the Weld County community dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls. The Women's Fund was established with the purpose of creating an endowment fund. This fund supports programs that address the unmet needs of women and girls in Weld County to enable them to become self-confident, independent, contributing members of the community. Currently, the endowment balance is over $700,000.

What do they do?

Weld Food Bank is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization which alleviates hunger and poverty by providing food and services to people in need. We are a private non-profit organization and are not a part of county government. We work to educate the public about the nature of hunger and poverty. We recognize the need for emergency and supplemental food programs and of other non-profit organizations that meet the critical needs of low-income families.
